How to Install Bay Window Curtain Poles

Installing a curtain pole on a bay window may feel quite daunting, so we’ve made it easy. Follow our three simple steps below and you’ll have your new curtain poles up in no time. You may need a friend to help with this one or if you’re stuck, get in touch with our friendly team - - - they’re happy to help!

  1. Your pole will arrive in two pieces. Assemble the poles and brackets on the floor first.
  2. Calculate the bracket positions. Bracket C should be in the centre and is where the two poles meet, brackets P are the passing brackets and should be positioned just before the bends and brackets E are the end brackets and should be positioned slightly in from the edge of the window.
  3. Mark the bracket positions on the wall, starting with the centre and lining the top hole with the desired installation height.
  4. Carefully drill your holes.
  5. Screw the brackets in to the holes and tighten.
  6. Slot the poles into the brackets.

Please note: Your pole will arrive a little longer than needed so you have ultimate flexibility. The pole can be easily cut down with a hack saw by a few cms once the pole is in the desired position.

If you have a 19mm pole, the finial should sit in the bracket - not the pole.

Bracket C can sometimes be a complete circle.
