What does this mean to you?
Where possible our fabric is milled in the UK and shipped directly to our UK workshops. This reduces the overall carbon footprint of your made to measure curtains and made to measure blinds, minimises fabric waste and helps support your local industry.
We only use natural fibres that are biodegradable and/or rapidly renewable and have not undergone any synthetic or unsustainable practices. We have lots of love for natural fibres and turns out so do you - - - topping our bestsellers list most weeks! We want you to feel good when you buy our products so our fabrics are milled using significantly less energy and don’t generate chemical waste like their synthetic counterparts.
Most fabric that ends up in landfill (all 25,000 tonnes of it) is made of synthetic fibres that emit harmful greenhouse gases and contribute to climate change. So say it with us ‘reuse, reuse, reuse’ - - - our recycled fabric ranges, or eco-warriors as we like to call them, are made from salvaged or recycled materials, reducing consumption of new materials and resources. We’ve gone the extra mile to make sure you can feel good about your new window apparel without making the planet pay.

How long do made to measure curtains take?
With Stitched, made to measure curtains and made to measure blinds take around 10 weeks from order and everything you need is online. So you don’t need to wait weeks for a measuring appointment - - - you can measure in your own time with our helpful guides. In fact, you can measure and order in the same day, using our online studio. You also don’t need to wait around for an installer - - - you can do this yourself too with our handy installation guides. When you’re in control, the process is much quicker.
Made Local
And so it should be. There is no need to ship products halfway around the world when we have local sewistas with know-how and needle-experience passed down from generations, ready to make your new window apparel with love and care no mass-making machine could ever show. We believe local demand should be met by local supply, reducing our carbon footprint wherever we can.
