What’s the best fabric for roman blinds?
Any of our 300+ eco-conscious fabrics work for roman blinds. Cotton is a classic fabric and always a popular choice. Our striped fabrics, such as Ian Mankin Ticking 01, is also popular for roman blinds and looks great in bedrooms or to complement a neutral interior. Thermal roman blinds
Fabric blinds have the added benefit of being natural insulators. We offer an extra thick “bonded” lining which doubles up to make our blinds keep the heat in. Really chilly house? Opt for one of our thicker fabrics like wool blinds or flax blinds which will keep your room cosy!
Inside or outside the recess?
Roman blinds can fit inside and outside your window recess. Outside a recess will make your window look bigger and will maximise natural light during the day. Inside the recess is great for space saving or layering up with curtains or roman blinds on the outside of the recess.
