Different mills use different certification schemes. The absence of a particular certification does not necessarily mean a fabric has not been tested or assessed to similar standards. If you are looking for a specific certification or environmental attribute, please contact us and we will be happy to provide further information on individual fabric collections.
Different mills and fabric manufacturers use different environmental and product certifications. As a result, the absence of a particular certification does not necessarily mean a fabric is less sustainable or has not been tested to similar standards - it may simply be that the mill has chosen to certify against a different scheme. We hand pick each of our mills for their eco credentials.
Many of our suppliers source yarns and materials that comply with recognised standards such as OEKO-TEX®, REACH, GOTS, Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and other industry certifications. However, certification can apply at different stages of the supply chain, meaning not every finished fabric carries every available certification.
If you’re looking for a specific certification, material standard or environmental attribute, please get in touch and we will provide any additional information you may need. We work closely with our mills and manufacturers and can often provide additional information about individual fabrics that may not be shown on this page.
If you’re decorating a nursery, child’s bedroom or other frequently used living space, choosing fabrics tested for harmful substances can provide additional peace of mind. While no fabric can be described as completely chemical-free, certifications such as OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 and Indoor Advantage Gold help identify products that have been independently assessed for harmful substances, chemical emissions and indoor air quality.
Many of our customers choose low-toxin fabrics for bedrooms and nurseries because they spend a significant amount of time in these spaces. Fabrics with recognised environmental and health-focused certifications can help support a healthier home environment while still providing the style, texture and practicality needed for everyday living.
Popular choices include our OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics, Indoor Advantage Gold certified fabrics and natural fibre collections, including linen, cotton and wool blends. If you’re looking for a specific certification or have particular requirements for a nursery or bedroom project, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
