Wanting to complement the modern aesthetic of the living and dining area, but keen to add some colour and texture, Janine chose our Silk fabric in Blue Moon. With large windows to cover in this space and living on a busy street, she paired her silk curtains with transparent roller blinds. The blinds add a layer of privacy during the day whilst the windows are framed by the blue silk fabric. On an evening, the curtains can be drawn to give total blackout for watching TV or creating a homely atmosphere.

Janine chose our recycled fabric Revive in Infinite for her motorised roman blinds in the main bedroom. This was a space saving move as the windows sit over a built in dressing table so the way the fabric of a roman blind folds away neatly is ideal. Janine and Zoe went for Silk in Dove for the spare bedroom. They chose this colour to complement the artwork and soft furnishings already in the room. Janine says: “We have lots of visitors, particularly from New Zealand, so the space has to be comfortable and clever to accommodate guests.” The double pleat heading gives a more formal, luxurious feel whilst still fitting in with their modern interior style.

A transparent roller in the bathroom, the same fabric as the roller blinds in the living room and main bedroom, provides privacy on a busy London street. With the en-suite being a smaller sized room, the transparent roller fitted inside the recess allows for maximum light to be let in and minimum space taken up. A transparent roller blind is a great option for a bathroom as they are easy to wipe clean and go with any interior decoration.
